Orthodontic Technologies

We use advanced technologies to make your treatment experience as comfortable as possible and to ensure accuracy and precision in our results!

iTero® Digital Scanner

No Goop, No Mess, No Putty

With the iTero Digital Scanner, taking digital impressions is a quick, comfortable process. This advanced scanning technology replaces the need for traditional putty impressions, which means no goop or gagging during impressions!

The iTero intraoral scanner creates a precise 3D model of the teeth in only a few minutes. The accuracy of iTero impressions allows us to achieve more predictable results with Invisalign or braces.

Digital iTero® Outcome Simulator

With the iTero digital scanning system, we can also show you a preview of your new smile before you even begin treatment! This device produces an outcome simulation of the new smile you could achieve through braces or Invisalign treatment.

Getting to take a sneak peek at your future smile is exciting!

Digital X-rays and Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

We have always used digital panoramic x-rays to capture images of our patients’ smiles.  Digital x-rays are far superior to traditional film x-rays because they use less radiation and produce superior high-quality images.

Advanced technology x-rays can also be more comfortable for our patients. We simply have you stand for less than 30 seconds while a sensor spins around your head to generate the  x-ray.

Cone beam computed tomography or CBCT is a 3D image that is currently one of the most advanced x-rays and can give a much clearer image of your teeth and jaws than a traditional 2D image when needed. A CBCT reconstructs the hard tissues of your teeth and jaws into an interactive image that can be evaluated in all directions and dimensions. These x-rays produce a similar image but provide a much lower dose of radiation compared to a medical computed tomography or CT. The radiation dose of a CBCT is comparable to the low radiation dose 2D digital panoramic x-rays that we also use.

Diode Laser

We use our diode laser as an option to optimize the efficiency of your orthodontic treatment or enhance the esthetics of your result. Sparing you the technical details, the laser can allow a more ideal placement of braces to make treatment go quicker. It is commonly used to aid in the eruption or uncovering of teeth. Towards the end of orthodontic treatment, the laser can be used to help with uneven gum lines and to reduce excess gums around teeth.

Self-ligating braces and super-elastic wires

With advanced self-ligating braces, our patients require less time in office and have more time enjoying their smile transform before their eyes. These braces are continually moving teeth at a comfortable rate that’s unique to you! With our heat-activated super-elastic wires your body temperature is responsible for encouraging the light biological force that moves your teeth and jaws into healthy alignment – along with the expert guidance of our orthodontists! The best part? The super elastic wires we use are the nickel-titanium alloy wire that was developed down the road by our local NASA engineers!
