1. Do you accept my insurance?
We accept insurance payments from most insurance companies, which enables us to lower your monthly payments. Even if we are not listed as a provider on your plan, you are almost always able to receive your full insurance benefit at Caudill Orthodontics. When you first contact us, our team will take your insurance information and verify your benefits so this can be discussed at your first visit.
2. How quickly can I get in? And what are your hours?
With two orthodontists and two convenient offices, we have lots of availability for appointments! Our goal is to bring you in for a new patient appointment during the same week in which you call. If not the same day! We love seeing our patients before they go to work or school to make it easier for them, so we open at 7 a.m. Our hours at the Merritt Island office are 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. and in Suntree from 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
3. How much do braces cost?
There are many factors involved in developing an orthodontic treatment plan with either braces or Invisalign. Patient treatment time can vary depending on the severity of the problems. We have complimentary orthodontic consultations where we will discuss what’s involved in creating your smile and how long it will take. After that, we will customize a financial agreement that best fits your wallet. One size does NOT fit all!
4. How long will it take to fix my teeth?
Patient treatment time can vary from as little as a few months to longer than two years with severe problems. While every case is different, at our office the average length of treatment for our Invisalign patients is 12-15 months. Dr. Caudill or Dr. McNeight will provide an estimated treatment duration at your complimentary consultation. The time required for Invisalign treatment is generally shorter than that of traditional braces, and includes fewer office visits.
5. Do braces hurt?
With traditional braces, there is some discomfort for the first three days after they are applied. This is caused by the pressure of the wires and elastic ligatures. A similar feeling occurs when the braces are adjusted and tightened on regular visits. Over-the-counter pain medication can provide relief in both cases.
In the case of Invisalign, most people describe some tooth soreness for one or two days after each aligner change. This is a sign that the aligners are moving your teeth into their planned destination. If the discomfort does not go away after a few days, please call our office.
